On February 16th, 1983, 62 year old Jack L. Dentner was found inside his apartment bound. Mr. Dentner had been stabbed to death. The homicide occurred at Colonial East Apartments, 4235 East Broad Street, in Whitehall, Ohio. Mr. Dentner's apartment had been ransacked in what appeared to be an apparent robbery. There were items taken from the apartment which included a Curtis Mathis stereo component system. Investigators are seeking anyone with any information about the missing property or unsolved homicide.

Robin M. Durrer, 19, was last seen on the evening of September 9, 1981. Robin had been riding her bicycle near her home in the Village of Reese in southern Franklin County, Ohio. She failed to return home and a missing persons report was filed. On September 10, 1981, her body was found along the C&O railroad off of Rathmell Rd. in the Village of Reese. Robin had been sexually assaulted and died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck. Investigators are attempting to locate anyone who had contact with Robin before her death or who may have information regarding her murder.

On August 30th, 1981, Upper Arlington Police responded to the Gloria Restuarant, 2195 Riverside Drive, at approximately 12:20 A.M. for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, the victim was found laying in the parking lot near the front door with several patrons standing around him. A knife was also found laying in the parking lot in close proximity to the victim. The investigation revealed that the victim had been stabbed multiple times by the unknown assailants and died from his injuries. It is believed that robbery was the apparent motive. Just prior to the incident, the victim had been observed removing a large amount of currency from his pocket to pay his bill. There was no money found on his body or in his vehicle. In addition, several witnesses reported seeing two suspicious male white suspects peering though the front door just prior to the incident.

On June 3rd, 1980 at 4:34 P.M. Asenath Dukat was reported missing by her parents after she did not arrive home from school. The victim's parents indicated that Seenie walked home from school, which was approximately 12 blocks away, and would usually arrive home at 4:00 P.M. After an extensive search, Seenie's body was discovered in a drainage ditch at the corner of Riverside Drive and Waltham Road, which is less than one block from her residence, at about 7:30 P.M. on June 3rd. The investigation revealed that death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head and manual strangulation. Investigators believe that the victim was abducted and murdered at a location other than where she was found.

Bobby Ann Waymire was found October 23, 1972 along side Haddix Road, just inside Clark County. She had been strangled and her body duped along side of the road. On December 21, 1964 the Springdale Police were dispatched to West Kemper Road near the Shell gas station just west of SR747. There officers found Dennis Madden shot to death. Mr. Madden was the night gas station attendant at the Shell gas station. Mr. Madden was married and had an infant daughter that grew-up never knowing her father. The Springdale Police Department conducted a thorough and exhaustive investigation that went on for many months. Numerous persons were interviewed and various items of evidence were recovered. The crime scene was searched, but no latent prints of value were found. This homicide was prior to the age of video-surveillance and no witnesses to the murder were ever found. The investigators confiscated and test-fired dozens upon dozens of pistols to compare to the bullets recovered from Mr. Madden. Mr. Maddens clothing was sent to the FBI for examination. The police department sent out information and corresponded with other police agencies across the country. A substantial cash reward was posted by the family. However, no suspects were ever charged with this crime. The department remains committed to following-up on this serious crime and trying to bring closure to the family.

Traci Douglass- Salamanca

LITTLE VALLEY, NY - Cattaraugus Sheriff investigators have identified human remains found in 2009 in the Allegany Reservoir as a missing Salamanca woman.

The missing woman was identified as 45-year old Traci Douglass.

Douglass was last seen in Salamanca around January 2007. The case is being investigated as suspicious and her cause of death has yet to be determined.

"We're treating this as an unnatural death investigation," Sheriff Tim Whitcomb told 2 On Your Side. "If Traci was still here with us today she would be almost 45-years old. Due to her age and due to where she was discovered, we do not believe this was a natural death. The umbrella of unnatural death can include a couple of things. It could be suicide. It could be accidental. More than likely in this case what we're leaning towards right now however is foul play."
The Sheriff's department is being assisted by the FBI in Jamestown.

The remains were sent to the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo to be examined, along with clothing found at the scene. The remains were also examined at the Forensic Anthropology Center at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania.

In April 2011, investigators say the remains were also sent to the Department of Forensic Biology New York City for a more detailed DNA analysis. This exam resulted in a suitable DNA profile being obtained.

Detectives contacted Douglass' relatives and obtained a DNA from the family and submitted to the lab for analysis which resulted in a match.

"To finally get a lead, that gives us some connectivity, gives us optimism and gives us hope. We're halfway home now," said Sheriff Whitcomb.
